Michigan election law requires that candidate committees report the employer and occupation of any donor who contributes more than $100 in any election cycle. Funds contributed must be your own, not those of a corporation, union, or special interest group. A Political Action Committee can contribute no more than $5000 to a candidate committee per election cycle. Candidate committees cannot accept contributions from corporations, casinos and their interest holders, or those who are not citizens of the United States.
